Assam Gramin Vikash Bank was formed on 12th January
2006 as a result of amalgamation of Pragjyotish Gaonlia Bank, Lakhimi
Gaonlia Bank, Cachar Gramin Bank and Subansiri Gaonlia Bank. It is
sponsored by the United Bank of India. Its head quarter is at Guwahati.
At present, it has 360 branches and 7 regional offices located at
different districts of the Assam. It is a regional rural bank whose aim
is to provide initiatives to the rural people of Assam.

116 posts are for Office Assistant ( Multi Purpose ), 99 posts are for Officer ( JMG ) Scale – l, 59 posts are for Officer (MMG ) Scale – ll and 5 posts are for Officer ( MMG ) Scale – lll.
Pay Scale: Office Assistant will get salary under the pay scale of
Rs.7200-19300/-. Officer ( JMG ) Scale-l will come under the Pay Scale
of Rs.14500-25700/-. Officer ( MMG ) Scale II will get salary under the
pay scale of Rs.19400-28100/- while Officer ( MMG ) Scale III will come
under the pay scale of Rs.25700-31500/-.
Age limit: For Office Assistant and Officer ( JMG ) Scale – I,
candidates age should be between 18-28 years, For Officer ( MMG ) Scale
II, age limit is 21-32 years while for Officer ( MMG ) Scale III,
candidates age should be less than 40 years.
Qualification: For Office Assistant and Officer ( JMG ) Scale I,
candidates should have a Bachelors Degree in any discipline with
proficiency in local language along with good knowledge of computers.
For Officer ( MMG ) Scale II, candidates should have a Degree in
concerned field with at least 50% marks in aggregate along with relevant
experience. For Officer ( MMG ) Scale III, candidates should have a
degree in concerned field with minimum 50% marks in aggregate along with
5 years of experience as an officer in any Bank.
Selection of the candidates will be based on written test and interview. Written Test will be held on 12th February 2012 for Office Assistant post while 19th February 2012
for the rest of the posts. There is also a free Pre-Examination
training to eligible candidates. Candidates who wishes can download
Pre-Examination Training Call letter from 20th January 2012 to 28th
January 2012 for Office Assistant while for the rest of the posts is
from 25th January 2012 to 4th February 2012.
